Every Electrified Ute You Can Buy in WA Right Now (2026)

Diesel hasn't been kind to WA wallets lately. Even with prices easing slightly at Perth bowsers, anyone running a dual-cab for work or weekends knows how quickly fuel costs stack up — especially if you're covering serious kilometres out to the regions. The good news is there are now real electrified ute options on sale, ranging from PHEVs to full EVs, with more arriving soon.

Here's every electrified dual-cab pickup currently available to WA buyers, ranked from cheapest to most expensive. Note that drive-away prices vary by state — WA registration and stamp duty mean your final number will differ slightly from NSW figures quoted by manufacturers, so always confirm with your local dealer.

The Affordable End: PHEVs Under $65K

The **GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV** is currently Australia's cheapest electrified ute, starting at $57,490 drive-away (NSW). GWM is running a discount until 31 May 2026, dropping the Lux PHEV to $54,490 and the top-spec Ultra to $59,490. It's powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol paired with an electric motor for combined outputs of 300kW and 750Nm, drawing from a 37.1kWh battery with a claimed 115km EV-only range (NEDC). Solid kit for the money, with dual 12.3-inch screens and a locking rear diff.

The **Ford Ranger Hybrid** has had a significant shake-up, with a new entry-level XL grade bringing the starting price down to $59,000 drive-away — the first plug-in Ranger under $60K. It uses a 2.3-litre turbo-four with a 75kW electric motor (207kW and 697Nm combined) and an 11.8kWh battery offering a claimed 49km EV-only range. The Ranger's reputation for reliability and its strong dealer network across WA make it a practical choice, particularly if you need genuine parts and service support in remote areas.

The **BYD Shark 6 Premium** sits at roughly $62,660 drive-away (NSW) and is one of the stronger value propositions on this list. Its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and dual electric motors produce a combined 321kW and 650Nm, with a claimed 100km EV-only range. A new Performance variant has also arrived with 350kW and 700Nm if you want more grunt. The 15.6-inch touchscreen in the Premium is genuinely impressive at this price point.

The **KGM Musso EV** is the cheapest full EV ute at $60,000 drive-away. Worth knowing: it's built on a unibody platform rather than a traditional ladder frame, so if you're towing heavy loads or heading onto rough tracks around WA's south-west or Pilbara, consider that carefully. Its 80.6kWh LFP battery claims 420km WLTP range in 2WD form, which is respectable.

The Premium Options: $70K and Above

The **Deepal E07** is genuinely unlike anything else on this list — a half-SUV, half-ute 'Multitruck' that looks more Cybertruck than Hilux. Starting at $70,137 drive-away in RWD form, it offers 550km WLTP range from a 90kWh CATL battery. The AWD Performance variant pushes 440kW and hits 100km/h in 4.4 seconds. Novel, but its urban focus makes it better suited to Perth metro use than serious outback work.

The **Toyota HiLux BEV** is arriving imminently, starting at $84,601 drive-away. Its dual-motor AWD system produces 144kW and 468Nm from a 59.2kWh battery, with an anticipated range of up to 315km (NEDC). Toyota's WA dealer network is a genuine advantage here for country buyers.

At the top end sits the **Toyota Tundra HEV**, starting at $164,893 drive-away. Its 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 hybrid system delivers 326kW and 790Nm. It's a big, capable truck — but at double the HiLux BEV's price, it's a niche buy for most WA households.

For most WA buyers balancing budget, capability and fuel savings, the Ranger Hybrid and BYD Shark 6 are the standout options right now. If full EV is your priority and you're mostly Perth-based, the Musso EV deserves a closer look.
